The Ontario Heritage Trust announced that applications are now open for the 2024 Doris McCarthy Artist-in-Residence Program. Selected artists will have the opportunity to participate in short-term residencies lasting from one to three months, where they will stay at the Doris McCarthy Artist-in-Residence Centre. Successful applicants will be provided with accommodation and studio space free of charge, where they can concentrate on their creative work. At the culmination of the program, artists will be asked to share their experience, practice, approach or work with the Trust, the Centre’s partners and/or the general public – this may include an exhibit or show, a workshop, a recital of a completed work or a work in progress.
