Applications are now open to become a member of the Advisory Committee on the Charitable Sector. The Committee is a consultative forum for the Government of Canada to engage in meaningful dialogue with the charitable sector, advance emerging issues related to charities, and ensure the regulatory environment supports the important work of charities. New members are anticipated to begin their two-year term in January 2025. An important note, membership is voluntary, and members are not compensated.

Applicants with experience grounded in the issues facing the charitable sector are invited to apply. The Canada Revenue Agency encourages applications from experts, practitioners, representatives, and leaders that network with:

• Registered charities (charitable organizations, public and private foundations)
• Nonprofit organizations
• National umbrella organizations
• Professional associations
