Aviva Canada, in partnership with Earth Day Canada, announced it is planning to expand the Charged for Change program across Canada in 2024. With this expansion, the program will benefit more communities without sufficient access to electric vehicle public charging stations. The Charged for Change program has delivered Level 2 charging stations to seven Ontario communities, including the Town of Pelham, Township of Selwyn, The County of Prince Edward, Town of Thessalon, East Ferris, Township of Manitouwadge, and Township of Essa. Aviva Canada works with municipalities and utility suppliers to install the charging station infrastructure in selected communities, with the goal of helping to remove barriers to electric vehicle adoption. Communities across Canada are encouraged to apply for funding through the Charged for Change program.
