Health Canada invites applications for the Climate Change and Health Capacity Building Program, which aims to advance knowledge, capacity and innovation in adapting to the health risks associated with climate change. Up to $17.7 million in funding will be awarded to support work that advances climate action in the health sector and helps to protect the health of Canadians.
Stream 1: HealthADAPT
Deadline for applications: September 19, 2024, at 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Funding objectives
- Assess climate-related health risks and issues facing people in Canada and implement adaptation measures to address them
- Support efforts to build climate-resilient and low-carbon health systems
Stream 2: HeatADAPT
Deadline for applications: September 5, 2024, at 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Funding objectives
- Assess climate-related health risks and issues facing people in Canada and implement adaptation measures to address them.
- Support efforts to understand and address the health impacts of extreme heat.
