Statistics Canada released the 2022 Canadian charitable donation data, which indicated that just under 5 million Canadian tax filers declared a charitable donation in 2022. According to the report, the total amount donated fell for the first time since 2016, which was a decrease of 3.1% to $11.4 billion. The data shows that there was an increase in mid-sized donations and that there were fewer larger donations.
