Library and Archives Canada is offering financial aid to Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Inuit and Métis Nation), persons with disabilities, and members of visible minorities through the Price McIntosh Bursary. The bursary aims to encourage students to pursue studies in fields related to libraries and archives. 

The application period for the 2023-2024 Academic Year closes on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Daylight Time). 

Eligibility Criteria

The bursary is open to students residing in Canada who are:

Applicants must:

  • identify as a member of a visible minority, an Indigenous person (First Nations, Inuit or Métis Nation) and/or a person with a disability
  • be a student at a Canadian post-secondary institution in a program preparing you for a career in library or archives
