According to Statistics Canada, the Real GDP of nonprofits increased by 0.1% in the last quarter of 2023, after an increase of 0.8% in the third quarter. The Real GDP of nonprofits serving households rose by 1.1% in the fourth quarter, as the reliance on nonprofit services by families and individuals increased. The report indicated that employment in the nonprofit sector continued to rise in 2023, with jobs in social services having risen by 2.6% in the fourth quarter.
