Gallup released the State of the Global Workplace Report, which found that employee engagement and job opportunities surged in 2022. Employee engagement reached a record high in 2022, yet over half of employees are actively or passively searching for a new job, and the majority of the world’s employees are quiet quitting. Employees reported to be quiet quitting are more likely to be stressed and burnt out than engaged workers due to their perception of disconnection from the workplace. Furthermore, stress levels are reported to be at historic highs, with 44% of employees stating that they experience high levels of stress.
