Environics Research and Dialogue released The 2024 State of Workplace Health and Wellness in Canada Report, which delves into the latest research on the perceptions of working Canadians in relation to health and well-being. A survey of 1,027 employed Canadians (part-time and full-time) was conducted between February 1 and 16, 2024. According to the study, the top contributors to well-being for working Canadians are as follows mental health (97%), physical health (97%), sleep (96%), financial situation (96%), and work-life balance (93%). Participants noted barriers to prioritizing their well-being, which included financial constraints (39%), lack of motivation (41%), and lack of time (45%). Three-quarters of HR professionals indicated that employee well-being is a pressing challenge in the workplace. According to the study, the top challenges faced by HR professionals were noted as follows employee mental health (83%), overworked employees (82%), and attracting talent (77%).
