Innovate BC announced the Innovator Skills Initiative program, which provides up to $10,000 to help employers hire a new employee. The purpose of the program is to help under-represented people get their first job in British Columbia’s tech sector and to help companies facing skills shortages.  The program is currently at capacity, however, organizations are invited to apply to be on the waitlist, at this stage more spots may become available.
