According to data, 8% of Montréal’s workforce is employed in cultural occupations. 48% of Quebec’s professional artists reside in Montreal, and one in 55 working Montrealers is an artist. Of the artists in Montreal, more than 6 in 10 are self-employed, and the median personal incomes are 21% lower than other workers in Montreal.
