The Parks Foundation Calgary announced applications are now open for the Building Communities Grant Program, with grants of up to $50,000 available. The grant program supports community-led park projects and playground initiatives in Calgary. The goal of the program is to build community capacity and promote stewardship among children and community residents by supporting the development of valued community spaces. 

Any nonprofit, educational institution, society or group can apply if they:

• Have an active Project Support Program project account *application required
• Are registered as a nonprofit society and have a Certificate of Incorporation
• Has objectives relating to parks, community spaces or playgrounds
• Are located within The City of Calgary’s municipal boundaries

Grant deadline: October 1, 2024.
