The Anti-Racism Directorate announced a $15-million investment in the Ontario Grant to Support Anti-Hate Security Measures for Faith-Based and Cultural Organizations grant program to help protect communities against hate-motivated incidents. Applications are now open for 2022-2023 and the deadline to apply is August 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

This program provides one-time grants of $5,000, $7,500 or $10,000 to eligible organizations, which can go towards security expenses such as security equipment or training to respond to hate-motivated incidents. Funds can be spent until March 31, 2023. It’s easy to apply! If you are a registered charity or not-for-profit corporation, host religious, spiritual or cultural gatherings at least once a month as a primary activity, and rent or own an indoor facility, then you may be eligible. Organizations that applied for the grant in 2021-22 can apply again for 2022-23. Interested faith-based and cultural organizations in Ontario can learn more and apply through the application portal.

Review the overview of the program, and share the PDF One-Pager (French Version) with your networks.
