The Sundar Prize Film Festival announced the inaugural film competition for filmmakers who leverage their craft to create meaningful social impact. The festival seeks to celebrate films that uplift communities through impactful and informative storytelling about social causes and issues. The festival will award over $10,000 CAD in cash prizes to the Top 5 films in select categories, including Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best Short Film, Best Animation, and Best Student Film. The winners will be announced during the film festival, which will take place on June 15 and 16, 2024, at the Centre Stage at Surrey City Hall in Surrey, British Columbia.
