Robert Half Canada released the results from a recent survey, which found that 38% of Canadian working professionals have started looking or are planning to look for a new job in the first half of 2025. The survey of 1500 Canadian professionals was conducted in December 2024. According to the study, over half (58%) of respondents indicated that their top challenges when applying for jobs include trying to make their application stand out (70%), identifying jobs that align with their skill sets, experiences and career goals (68%), and finding time to apply for jobs (55%).

Top job search motivators:

  • A higher salary (41%)
  • Better perks and benefits (31%)
  • More remote flexibility than what their company offers (27%)
  • Greater professional development opportunities (20%)
