Interligne published a new report highlighting the striking results of a Canada-wide study conducted by Leger with the support of Women and Gender Equality Canada. The study delves into the gaps and needs for psychological support for these communities. 

Key Findings:

• 86% of 2SLGBTQIA+ people have experienced at least one mental health challenge in the past year, compared to 64% of non-2SLGBTQIA+ people.
• Only 33% of 2SLGBTQIA+ feel they are in excellent or good mental health, compared with 49% of non-2SLGBTQIA+.
• 28% of 2SLGBTQIA+ rate their mental health as poor or very poor, compared with 14% of non-2SLGBTQIA+.
• 68% of 2SLGBTQIA+ respondents said they were satisfied with the support they received.
• 28% of 2SLGBTQIA+ respondents were dissatisfied with the support they received.
