A global report published by Catalyst highlights the employee perceptions of COVID-19 policies and racial equity policies in the workplace. The majority of employees indicated that they perceived their workplace’s policies in relation to racial equity and even COVID-19 to be merely performative. The commonly held perception holds that organizations were not committing to implementing actionable strategies to abide by those policies.
- 68% of employees reported that their organization’s Covid-19 policies were not genuine.
- 75% of employees reported that their organization’s racial equity policies were not genuine.
