Employment and Social Development Canada launched the Sustainable Jobs Training Fund. The Fund aims to support a series of training projects to help workers upgrade or develop new skills for jobs in the low-carbon economy. Specifically, the fund will focus on low-carbon energy and carbon management, green buildings and retrofits, as well as electric vehicle maintenance and charging infrastructure.

Application period: March 8, 2024, to May 15, 2024, at 3:00 pm, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

Funding amount: $8,000,000 to $15,000,000 per project.

Who can apply: Not-for-profit organizations, for-profit organizations, Indigenous organizations, and provincial and territorial governments.
