The 2024 State of BC’s Non-Profit Sector Report is the fourth installment in a series initiated by a partnership between Vantage Point, Vancouver Foundation, Victoria Foundation, City of Vancouver, United Way British Columbia, and Vancity Community Foundation. The report highlights the findings from the 2024 State of the Sector Survey of 558 nonprofits across British Columbia. The report provides high-quality data crucial to understanding the nonprofit sector in British Columbia and equips funders, policymakers, and other sector stakeholders with relevant data to make informed decisions and better support the current needs of British Columbia’s nonprofit sector. The study delves into six major parameters to aggregate the trends, which include revenues, expenses, program and service delivery, human resources, central operations, and governance. The report provides recommendations, including building a sustainable workforce, funding reforms, and ecosystem collaboration strategies.
